Just Kids

just bought this book and i haven't been able to put it down. i'm so intrigued with her path through life. her words are deep and poetic. here are a few short paragraphs that i love, just to give you a taste. 

" i suspected my soul, being mischievous, might slip away while i was dreaming and fail to return. i did my best not to fall asleep, to keep it inside of me where it belonged."

somedays when i'm feeling creative i start working on little projects i've thought of.. usually i end up running out of time or losing interest. nevertheless here are a couple little crafty ideas i've recently stumbled upon. hopefully i'll get around to them after this semester ends :)

 i love the idea of miniature notes and bottles. it reminds me of alice in wonderland.

 cooking creations are so fun! i love getting creative for different parties/events. these dr seuss cupcakes are adorable.

 how great is this?! framing your favorite pieces of jewelry with some pretty lace and an old frame. love.

 you can put this ring together and the gears even move! so different it's wonderful.

homemade cards are always better than store bought ones, that is a given. although i've been lazy and haven't made a cute card in awhile.

 i'm not sure if i could pull off putting something like this together but i love the idea of it! it screams disney to me.

first of all i want this book. i love the stars and wishful thinking. aside from that how inspiring would it be to have words from a great book on your dishes?

i'm buying a sewing machine this summer and i can't wait to put pieces together, like this apron made out of vintage hankies.

awww i've always dreamed of having a big deck! hopefully it'll have a beautiful view so that i can start everyday looking out into the world with fresh air, pancakes, and sunshine :)

i've been in love with these jeeps since i was 12. it's the perfect adventure vehicle! whether i'm living in CA or UT by the time this baby is mine,this car is perfect for beach or for snow.

 this is my horse, red racer. someday when i have enough property i want a few horses. 
i love riding!

 my lazy cat, whiskers. defiantly want a cat that can run around my horses and lay on my lap while i eat breakfast on the deck.

 this was my horse growing up.  his name is bo :)i would love having another beautiful paint like him.
